Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of the Asia Cup T20 2016 in Bangladesh after failing to fully recover from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the limited-overs series in Australia last month. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named as his replacement.

BCCI said: “The decision has been taken to give him (Shami) more time to recover from the Grade II injury to his left hamstring.”



After the knee injury that made him miss the Indian Premier League (IPL), tours to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and a home series against South Africa.
