Defending Champion register their first win of the season

Trinbago Knight Riders (170-5) beat Barbados Tridents (159-8) by 11 runs.

Trinbago Knight Riders, Batting first their opener Bazz and Amla came to crease but again Bazz unable to fire and got out by scoring just 1 run.

After Bazz every one got out cheaply even last match highest scorer Darren Bravo also got out on just 4 runs. They lost 4 wickets at just 20 runs.

After DJ Bravo came to crease and he try to make some partnership with Amla. Both played sensible in the start and try to reach his team to fighting total.

Amla and Bravo put together a match-winning partnership of 150 in 92 balls. Amla was just superb, he made 81 from 54. This was the best fifth-wicket stand in the history of T20 cricket, the best-ever partnership for Trinbago Knight Riders and the third highest stand ever in Hero CPL.

Knight Riders scored 170/5 in 20 overs because of 150 runs stand.

Chasing of 171, Barbados openers Steven Taylor and Kyle Hope started well but Kyle got out on 11 runs on try to score fast cause he played 13 balls and scored just 11 runs so he was under pressure.

After Kyle, Shoaib Malik came to crease and create partnership with the Taylor.

Shoaib Malik also found it difficult to score freely when he first came to the crease although he did pass 6,000 T20 runs on his way to 28 (24), the 10th player to do so.

AB de Villiers arrived at the crease for the Tridents the required rate was around of 11 an over and he also unable to score quick runs. He also got out by just scoring 11 runs.

But Nicholas Pooran played a cameo of 33 runs but it seems to not enough for Barbados and they fallen short of 11 runs and Defending Champions register their first win of the season.
