Guyana Amazon Warriors won by 4 wickets in first close play off of the CPL 2016 against Gayle’s Jamaica Tallawahs at Warner Park, St Kitts.
Warriors won the toss and elect to bowl first and Rayad Emrit proved his decision right and took 3 wickets and Sohail Tanvir helped his team to restrict Gayle’s team score to just 146 in 20 overs.
Gayle looks to bat through the inning but he did not able to do so and he got edged at score of 33 runs in 36 balls this looks like Gayle’s worst inning in big games.
No one able to score big runs in the first play off as Sanga, Russel every one got start but they followen cheaply and they just score 146 runs.
In reply of 146, DR smith and maddison try to put up a partnership but they fail to do so and got out after start and then Australian new team-a captain Chris Lynn batted through the innnig and missed half century by just one run but he drive his team to winning side.
Jamaica’s bowers bowl well and don’t give easy runs to Warriors but Warriors played sensibly and play all 20 overs and because of this they won match by 4 wickets with 2 balls to spare.
Tanvir helped Warriors with bat and bowl and showed up all rounder performance and becuase of this he became Man of the Match.
Now Warriors will face either St Lucia Zouks or Trinbago Knight Riders for the title match at Basseterre on 7th August 2016.
