Caribbean Premier League 2016, starts from the 30th june and for that The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) decided to the released players on 10th june, friday : Jason Holder, Darren Bravo, Carlos Brathwaite, Devendra Bishoo and Denesh Ramdin for this CPL T20 league.
This players are played in the CPL just after the final of the ongling Tri series 2016 between West Indies, Australia, South Africa.
As per ESPNcricinfo reports coach and team selector final say in the releasing the players for CPL Participation. Phil Simmons says no objection for the players to participating in the upcoming CPL T20 tournament if they return on the time to prepare for the Test series which will be played against india on the next month.
“Our thanks to the West Indies Cricket Board, coach and chairman of selection committee for facilitating the release of the players for the opening weeks of the CPL,” he said.
“It’s a tremendous boost for the competition and I have no doubt that each of the players will be motivated to add great value to their squads.
As per this discussion players can play in the CPL till 11th july to their respective franchise and after that they have to join the national team for the preparation for the test series against india. First Test Match against India on 21st july in Atigua.
