Pune city base franchise has no luck in IPL

115

This year two new team added in IPL because of suspending CSK and RR this year because of spot fixing and new teams are added one was from Pune and another was from Rajkot.

Rising Pune Supergiants team owned by the Sanjiv Goenka and another Team was Gujarat Lions owned by Keshav Bansal (Intex Group). Pune Starts well this year and beat defending title Mumbai Indians in their Opening encounter but after that Pune have faced so many Injury Problems.

After that MS Dhoni and his company not able to find any good winning combination in the season and they loose few close matches and that hurts the team.

But this was not first time that happen second time for the Pune franchise before RPS another franchise Sahara group have a team from Pune city that was Pune Warriors which make debue in 2011 in IPL.

At that time Sourav Ganguly was the captain of Pune Warriors and this time MS Dhoni was the captain of RPS both are most successful captain for the India specially this time MS Dhoni, Worlds best Captain in current area of the world cricket.

But their players have not able to support them, because of that effects on their performance also in early Ganguly fail to score big scores for Pune Warriors because of bad performance of team and this time Dhoni not able to score big runs for his team because of team performance and team environment.

There few players common for this city like Smith, Dinda, Mitchell Marsh, Ishwar Pandey and Saurabh Tiwary.

So there might not be any problem with the players or the Captain or the coaching staff but it may problem of the luck with pune city for the IPL team.

This year it may be more bad that because of drought matches also shifted from Pune so it seems like no luck with the Pune city for IPL. Another team Gujarat Lions start with RPS who make good impact this year which looks like little weak team as compare to Rising Pune Supergiants as compare with the players.

PWI Overall results in the IPL

Year Wins Losses No result % Win Position
2011 4 9 1 28.71% 9/10
2012 4 12 0 26.66% 9/9
2013 4 12 0 26.66% 8/9
Total 12 33 1 26.08%

Let’s see MS Dhoni what makes difference next year for Rising Pune Supergiants cause this year RPS looks like to be last or second last in the table, till now RPS won 3 matches from 12 matches played. As of now it seems like PWI and RPS will finish at same position in the table.
