Tillakaratne Dilshan has played 329 ODIs and 87 Tests for Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan Opener Dilshan recently dropped from the Sri Lankan side and then he was picked for the ODI series and that only for announce the retirement.

Dilshan was not in form in last few months as he was not picked for the England series and even Sri Lankan Cricket board wants to continue with him till 2019 world cup to build up a good side.

Dilshan has more then 10,000 runs in ODI Cricket and he was one the destructive opener like Jayasuriya, Sehwag, McCullum and many others.

He announced that he will play his last match against Australia the second T20I and last match of the Australian tour on September 9.

2015 was his most successful year having scored 1207 runs at an average of 52.47.

He was became famous for his invention of the ‘Dilscoop’ and that was now used by many others in T20 matches.
