Sohail Tanvir wants to carry forward his form in international cricket as he did in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL)  and wants to impress the selectors to make his way back into the Pakistan national squad.

The unorthodox pacer has grabbed six wickets and conceded only 41 runs  in 8 overs with one of them was also a maiden over.

Tanvir has taken the wickets of Brendon McCullum, who was out caught behind on very first delivery.

Pakistan, Tanvir said,  “I am representing Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL and I have not only been performing well but also ready to shine further as the league unfolds.

I have picked 4 wickets in my very first match against St Kitts, conceding only 20 runs in 4 overs, while in the second match against Trinbago Knight Rider, I took 2-21, which also included the wicket of Brendon McCullum and dashing compatriot Umar Akmal. I am hopeful of performing well in the upcoming matches.”

Asked about being excluded from the Pakistan team for a long time ago the left-handed bowler said, “of course, it pinches but I am a performer and always bounce back and win my place back in the national team trough sheer hard work.

I am still hopeful of getting a recall for ODIs against England and then one-off T20 international as well.

My job is to perform and leave the rest on the selectors to decide.”

Tanvir has taken 71 wickets in  62 matches in ODIs and  47 wickets in 50 matches.  He last played against in 2015 against England in a Test match.
