West Indies won the toss in the 3rd test and Jason Holder decide to bowl first as while Virat Kohli also wants to bat first after winning toss so both got their choices.

West Indies made a change by making debue of young 19-year old Alzarri Joseph in place of new T20 captain Carlos Brathwaite.

On other end, India also made three changes two was expected but made another change. Ravindra jadeja, Rohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar replace by Amit Mishra, Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav.

West Indies players showed confidence as they saved the second test match after fighting batting of Chase, Dorwich and their captain.

West Indies bowler showed that and did well in first session and took 3 wickets. Wickets of Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Lokesh Rahul.

Rahul scored half century in first half but just before the lunch he got out on the bowling of chase. That was bad bowl but he played shot straight to short fine leg fielder.

Rohit Sharma got a chance in this match in place of Pujara but he got out just after lunch by the beauty from the young débutante Joseph.

Rahane and Ashwin try to hold on the wicket and try that don’t give wickets to west Indians and they almost survived till tea but just before tea Chase got wicket of Rahane.

In second session, India scored just 43 runs in 29 overs and loss wicket of Rahane. Chase turn out to be a golden player for West Indies now a days.

After Tea, Ashwin and W Saha played positively and made a partnership of 100 for the 6th wicket and at end of the day India’s score was 234/5.

Ashwin made 75 runs and still not out so he has chance to made his 4th century in test cricket on day-2.

This was great first day of this test match, Match like this will be helped to increase the viewer for the test match. We have seen great fight between bat and bowl.
