Highly criticized West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) asked Darren Sammy to step down from West Indies’ T20 captaincy ahead of the recently proposed 2 match T20I series against India in Florida, USA.

Sammy led West Indies in World T20 and won title twice for the country but recently WICB had some issues with few players related to the fees and all.

Because of this recently news came out that WICB asked Sammy to step down from the T20 captaincy in recent announced T20 Series against India in USA.

Sammy’s teammate Chris Gayle, shared an Instastory video on Thursday, in which he mentioned, “Darren Sammy just told me his throat has been cut. Seriously you cannot cut the two-time world champion T20 captain’s throat like that.”

Sammy is the only captain to led his team to two World T20 title wins.
