PEP GUARDIOLA will make Spain striker Nolito the second signing of his Manchester City revolution by beating off competition from his former club Barcelona for the player.

City will trigger a £13.8m escape clause in 29-year-old Nolito’s Celta Vigo contract and he will sign a three-year deal once Euro 2016 is over.

The former Barca ‘B’ player is not keen on a return to the Nou Camp because Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar would considerably restrict his chances of regular starts.

He will follow Ilkay Gundogan – signed for £21m from Borussia Dortmund last month – to the Etihad.
