France beat Germany in a major tournament for the first time since the 1958 World Cup.

Schweinsteiger, who returned to the playing XI due to an injury of Sami Khedira, he has also apologised to the Germany supporters for the defeat against to hosts France.

“We have to see the overall picture of the competition – not only the final tournament but also the qualifiers”.

France will face Portugal this sunday at Paris for the Euro 2016 Final match.

Portugal, who have won only one match over 90 minutes in this tournament, have yet to sparkle, although there was some improvement in their semi-final, notably from Ronaldo, who scored a majestic headed goal.

His second goal came after 72 minutes when Juventus star Paul Pogba conjured some magic to lose his marker and his cross had Neuer, and Germany’s defense, in a panic.

Second  Semi match drew a highest viewer in France after the 2006 match against Portugal in the world cup. So they expect this record may broke in the Final also when France and Portugal face each other for the Euro 2016 title.

TF1 channel that aired the match played in Marseille said in a statement that it had a total audience share of 68.8 percent with 19.2 million viewers, and 22.2 million at its peak, reports Efe.
